Photography makes me happy
I'm self-taught
I’m more interested in the art of photography than the business of photography
I want to make photos not take them (hat-tip to Ansel Adams)
I believe that vision trumps technique, imagination trumps rules
I don’t want to be known for a particular subject or style
I only keep colour in the shot if it’s truly adding something
I think a photograph is an interpretation as soon as you’ve taken it. As soon as you click that shutter you’ve edited the scene. If you continue to edit through traditional darkroom or digital darkroom that’s fine with me
